Having three children of our own and organising many children’s parties over the years, we, like many other families, loved the safe home environment, but needed somewhere for the kids to run off all that energy!
Well Double Decker Den is the answer!!

For your convenience we have answered a few of the regular questions we get asked, right here.
- We arrive at your chosen venue/ home 10 minutes prior to your booking time, (with you ensuring that there is sufficient space for Double Decker Den to park) We then throw open the doors, let the children on, and the Fun begins!
We calculate a 15 mile radius from Grey’s Monument and that includes mobile party bus hire in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Ponteland, South Shields, Washington, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street, Cramlington, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay.
For Morpeth, Hexham, Durham and beyond, we will calculate the mileage and travel time and ask for a supplement of £2.00 per mile.
Party Bus Hire : £150.00
1 ½ hours of fun in the den for up to 20 children (age dependent)
Free unlimited juice/ water for children
2 members of staff, CRB checked
Free photograph of birthday child in driver’s seat
Free party invite available for you to download and print.
We need access to a power point. We can supply an extension lead if required.
If there is no power point available, we can supply a generator for an additional cost of £10 per booking.

Extra fun time in the den, £30 per ½ hour.
To secure the date and time of your booking, we require a deposit of £40 paid within 7 days of booking confirmation.
Payments by Card
Deposit and balance payments can be made through our secure payment system online. Deposits must be paid within 7 days of booking and balances need to be settled 2 working days before the date of your party or event.
Card payments can also be taken over the phone.
Payments by Cheque
Deposit and balance payments can be made by cheque made payable to Double Decker Den and sent to Double Decker Den, 47 Simonburn Avenue, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 9UA. Deposits must be paid within 7 days of booking and balances need to be settled on the day of your party or event, but only in cash. Balance cheques need to be received by us 7 days before in order for funds to clear.
We offer a full refund in case of cancellation by Double Decker Den due to adverse weather conditions or mechanical failure beyond our control.
If you need to cancel your party or event please contact us immediately. Depending on the circumstances we will do our best to offer you an alternative date, although under normal circumstances you will forfeit your deposit payment.
